
Next week is jam packed with events in and around TISD!!
*On Monday afternoon, we will be hosting our Pre-K & Kindergarten Round-Up Night in conjunction with Family Shopping Night at the Elementary Book Fair! Remember: Registration has moved ONLINE for the 24-25 School Year and we will be here to assist those entering PK & Kindergarten Monday night from 4:30-6:30 in the cafeteria. Please make every possible effort to attend this registration night. Letters were sent home with students detailing what will be needed to make your registration experience go as smoothly as possible. If you have a student currently enrolled in PK, you will still need to come up and complete Returning Student Enrollment for the new school year. If you are unable to attend Monday evening's Round-Up, you will have until April 30th to complete the registration.
If you are new to the district, you will need to bring the following information with you to complete the registration:
*Birth Certificate
*Social Security Card
*Shot Records
*Parent Drivers License
*Proof of Residency
*Student living outside the district will be required to complete a Transfer Form for approval by the Superintendent
*All 3 year olds must be potty trained. There are a LIMITED number of spots available. Pre-K 3 ends at 12:00pm; daycare services are available from 12:00-4:30pm if needed.
Daycare Fees:
Daycare: $60 per week
Daycare Registration Fee: $25 (one time fee)
**All parents/guardians enrolling students MUST HAVE a working EMAIL ADDRESS that you can access and verify when setting up a Parent Portal account.
Registration will take place through the Parent Portal website.

The Book Fair will be going on all week in Elementary Room 4 with special shopping nights on Monday (4:30pm-6:30pm) for all students and families and then again on Tuesday (4/09) for Spanish speaking students and families.
In addition to the Spanish speaking family shopping night, we will be hosting our Family Literacy event for those families as well. It will be from 4:00pm-5:30pm.

Thursday, 04/11 - 2nd Grade will host the 2nd annual Living Wax Museum in the concourse of the SEC from 8:00am-10:00am. Guests are invited to attend at your convenience during that time frame.

In just a couple of weeks, our students will begin their State Testing windows for STAAR and EOC's. Please refer to the schedule below for what groups will be testing and when. Please remember to be encouraging to your student as we approach these assessments. They have all worked hard and we want them to feel prepared and confident as they test. We will be sharing more test preparation tips that you can help with at home in the days preceding testing as it nears.
Thank you for your help in ensuring this is a successful time for our Tigers!!


Last, but not least, congratulations to our PK 4 Tigers of the month, Henry Segovia and Evelyn Lopez Magana. They will be recognized at our April 16th board meeting and enjoyed a Happy Meal on Tuesday!


Shout out to our April PK 3 Tigers of the Month Riley Mae Gillie and Khellen McDaniel! They will be recognized at our April 16th board meeting and enjoyed a special donut this morning from Mrs. Ward.



Congratulations to our March Tigers of the Month! Kindergartners Rosa Sanchez and Joseph Rodas will be recognized at our April 16th board meeting. They also enjoyed a McDonalds Happy Meal last week.


Congratulations to Ms. Janice Barton and Ms. Tracy Tutt for being voted our March Tigers of the Month. These ladies go above and beyond their positions as administrative assistants. We will recognize them, along with our April Tigers of the Month at the April 16th board meeting at 5:30pm.


How did we get here? It's difficult to believe, but we are already a week into the final six weeks! We wrapped up the 5th Six Weeks with some positively pink office referrals and recognized our students who were nominated for being responsible. Great job, Tigers!




The DISTRICT TRACK RUNNING FINALS will begin at 6pm TONIGHT in Beckville!!! Go out and support our Varsity Boys!!!


Tenaha ISD would like to extend a hearty CONGRATULATIONS to the teams below on their outstanding seasons concluding with advancements to either the UIL Regional or State Basketball Tournaments. All of these teams will be a part of HOLIDAY HOOPS 2024 December 26-28, 2024 at the Tenaha ISD Special Events Center! It's YEAR 15, so expect the BIGGEST and BEST Tournament YET!! MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!


Best of Luck to our Junior High Track athletes as they are in Beckville today competing; go get em' TIGERS!!! Let's bring home some hardware!! Our High School Boys Track team will travel to Winona later this week on Thursday for the Winona Relays.

PROM 2024!!! Better Together is the theme for this year's prom that will be held April 6, 2024 at Tuxedo Springs in Center, TX at 7pm. Tickets may be purchased beginning March 18th for $25 each.
Students have been notified multiple times about requirements and dress code in their google classrooms as well as in school announcements: HOWEVER, any JUNIOR planning to attend prom, must have their dues paid (up to date) by Tuesday, March 19th. Please note: this is an extension on the previously set deadline of March 8th.
The staff is working hard to make this a WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE for everyone involved, please make plans to attend! For any questions, please see Mrs. Barr!


Don't forget that next week, Tenaha Elementary will celebrate READ ACROSS AMERICA and Dr. Seuss Week with some FUN DRESS UP DAYS!! We encourage everyone to support the cause and participate!



It's a busy day for our TIGERS this FRIDAY!! Our Boys Track team left bright and early headed to Union Grove for their first meet of the season, the Dee Mackey Relays. We wish them all the very best of luck today as they begin this new season.
This afternoon, our boys and girls soccer teams will play Kilgore here in The Pit beginning with the Lady Tigers at 5pm, followed by the Tigers at 6:45. We invite everyone out to watch these two teams in action; they have really had a great inaugural UIL season so far!
We are only a few short days away from SPRING BREAK...so hang in there Tigers and keep on pushing!!
