On Thursday, April 6th, the Junior Class will be having both a Bake Sale and Raffle. Everything at the Bake Sale will be $1. They will be raffling TWO Easter Baskets for $2 a ticket. The Bake Sale and raffle tickets will be available during lunches. Winners of the raffle will be announced at the end of the day!

PARENTS!! It's that time of year again...PK & Kindergarten Roundup!!
Pre-K and Kindergarten Round-Up begins on Monday, April 3, 2023. We are sending home PK-3 enrollment packets to our students who are currently enrolled in our daycare. Please return the packets by Friday, April 28th.
You will also need to provide the following:
Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
Shot Records
Parent Driver’s License
Proof of Residency
Remember, all three-year-olds must be potty trained, and we have a limited number of spots, so completed packets turned into the office will be kept in the order we receive them. Pre-K 3 ends at 12:00PM. Daycare services are available from 12PM to 5PM if you are interested.
Fees are as follows:
Preschool $60 a week
Registration Fee $50
Supplies and Materials $25/bi-annual

This week, our February and March Students and Staff of the month were recognized at the monthly Board of Trustees meeting. These students and staff were selected by their peers, teachers and colleagues for their positive contribution to our school district! Director of Bands, Mr. Brian Sours, also recognized Superintendent, Don Fallin, with the TMEA Distinguished Administrator Award. Mr. Fallin has been a long-time supporter and backbone of the Tenaha Band program. His dedication and passion he pours into each of our students is evident every day, and he is more than deserving of this honor. Congratulations, Mr. Fallin! Thank you for all your do to support our school programs.
Congratulations to our Tiger Tennis team on their District Competition this week in Center. In the Doubles competition, Jessica Aguilar and Gladys Tovar secured a Regional Tournament qualification with their 2nd place finish. In Mixed Doubles, Marely Perales and Luke Ward finished 3rd.

TigerNation!! It is a pleasure to introduce you to our New Athletic Director, Coach Dee Lewis! Coach Lewis has an extensive background in education and coaching, with a very successful track record to boot. He is joining us from White Oak ISD most recently, where he served as the Girls Athletic Coordinator and Head Girls Basketball Coach. Coach Lewis and Coach Ward will serve as dual Athletic Directors the remainder of this school year through December, collaborating and strengthening our athletic department. Coach Lewis will begin his duties April 10th hiring and restructuring the coaching staff assignments, while Coach Ward will continue to coach football and schedule and organize all off-season activities. Coach Lewis will be in charge of our summer basketball activities and training as well. In January of 2024, Coach Lewis will assume the full time position of TISD Athletic Director as Coach Ward continues to coach and fulfill other administrative roles.
Congratulations Coach Lewis, and welcome to TigerLand!! We are excited to see the energy that comes with your joining our team!!

Best of Luck to our Varsity Tennis teams as they travel to Center today for the District Tennis Tournament! We started playing Tennis this past year and the athletes really enjoyed learning and growing within the sport. We are thrilled that Coach Ward has been working with these athletes and cannot wait to hear how they fair today!

The remainder of our Sports Photos and Spring Portraits will be taken April 11th by Traditions Portraits. All sports groups will have a group photo taken for the yearbook and each athlete will take individual photos. Only those students (K-12) who wish to purchase a Spring Portrait will take them on this day. You do not have to pre-purchase the photo, but it is optional to take them if you know you do not wish to purchase. Proofs will be available online after the photos are taken and an order form will also be sent home the week prior to pictures.
All students will observe a 2nd/7th period "flip" Monday and Tuesday of this week. This is to accommodate students and staff participating in the District Track Meet and upcoming band competitions.

THS Juniors and Seniors!! Prom 2023 is just around the corner!! Please read the following information very carefully as you are making preparations: Prom tickets are currently available in the office with Ms. Regina. Juniors and Seniors that have paid their dues do not need to purchase a ticket but they do need to have a ticket. Guest tickets are $20. Tickets must be purchased/picked up by 11:00 on Friday, March 31. All Prom Attendees MUST adhere to the following rules and guidelines in order to participate: 1. Age limit- 9th grade -age 19 ( age will be verified by a copy of ID ) 2. Dues must be paid in full and so does the guest you invite, if they attend this school. 3. A ticket must be bought for a student attending from another school or a Tenaha 9th/10th grader for $20 in the front office before March 31 . 4. Appropriate dress code should be within school guidelines. 5. All males are required to wear shirts and keep them on during the Prom festivities. Females are required to send a picture of their dress to Mrs. Barr before April 1 in order to get it approved. 6. Once you enter the school for the prom festivities you may not go back out of the building unless you are escorted by a staff member. Please remember that this event is a privilege and one that your Prom Committee and TISD Staff enjoy hosting for our students. Please be respectful and plan to attend and have a great time!! This past week, our Varsity Track teams competed at the Cushing Track Meet. Each team improved upon their last performance and brought home quite a bit of hardware!! Our boys team finished 3rd Place overall and the Girls Team was 2nd Place Team overall.

Shopping will be available from 8:30am-2:30pm each day. However, you may also purchase and shop online April 10-23rd.
