As we start this beautiful Monday, we want to recognize a special group of individuals who doesn't receive near the appreciation they deserve! Today, we celebrate our outstanding Custodial Staff on National Custodians Day!! We are truly blessed with the BEST!! Not only do they take their jobs very seriously and strive each day to make our campus as clean and sanitary as possible, but they also are a vital part of creating a nurturing environment at Tenaha ISD. Each and every one of these individuals creates lasting, meaningful relationships with our students and staff and bring so much joy to our district!! From the bottom of our heart, THANK YOU, we truly could not do it without you all!! If you see one of these staff members, remember to thank them, not just today, but every day for the job they do!!

Good Morning Tiger Nation!!
Have you ever noticed how EASY it is to spread NEGATIVITY?!
We want to change that!! Instead, we would like to encourage our community, students and staff to SPREAD POSITIVITY!!
"Thank A Tiger" is a district initiative with the purpose of spreading positivity and giving shout outs to those you notice doing a fantastic job!! Our staff spreads positivity by sharing Positive Office Referrals each week as they notice our students doing amazing things.
We would like to encourage you to "Thank A Tiger" and complete the google form at the link attached to share something positive you have noticed an employee, teacher, staff member, or ANYTHING positive happening around the district. This message will be shared directly with that group or individual to brighten their day and remind them that they are appreciated and noticed!!
Thank you for spreading KINDNESS!! You may send multiple "thank-you's"!

ATTENTION TIGER FANS AND FUTURE GUESTS!
An unfortunate incident at last week's varsity football game in DeKalb where a Tiger parent entered the playing field during the game, proceeding to disrespectfully interact with two coaches has led to this notice of information.
Per UIL and Tenaha Independent School District regulations, this spectator behavior is unacceptable and has potentially put our district, athletes and coaches in a punishable situation. According to the Behavior Expectations of a Spectator code of the UIL Parent Information Handbook, "The school is responsible for the behavior of their spectators. The school district can be and will be punished for actions of patrons in violation of UIL standards and rules." Regulations also state that AT NO TIME should a spectator or any other guest enter the field, court or surface of play. This also includes before and after the conclusion of the event. This regulation is in place for the safety and security of our athletes, student personnel and coaching staff.
Please remember that as a spectator and guest of the school, you are a reflection and representative of our school district and community. While winning is an admirable goal, and one that we are very accustomed to in Tenaha, it is hollow if it comes at the expense of morals, ethics and common sense. Our athletes and coaches put in countless hours each week preparing for each contest. As guests and spectators, our job is to uplift and support our TEAM.
Tenaha Independent School District is currently investigating this incident and will take action accordingly with those involved.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter. We are a family in Tenaha. When we win, we win together; and in the event we aren't successful, we rally behind our TEAM in a positive, encouraging manner so as to improve next time.
You are invited to join us at 7:30am for See You At The Pole 2022! Donuts and juice will be served.
Here's a glance at our week in TigerLand!
