The power outage has been resolved and all activities will resume tomorrow, Wednesday June 21st.
ALL ACTIVITIES including Summer Workouts have been cancelled for Tuesday, June 20th due to a SWEPCO power outage. We will update on a day by day basis regarding activities for the remainder of the week.
Tenaha ISD is once again partnering with the USDA and TDA to serve our Tigers throughout the summer with the Summer Food Service Program. Breakfast will be served daily from 7:30am-8:30am and Lunch from 11:30am -12:30pm Monday-Thursday, June 1-30, 2023. This is for students 18 years of age and younger, free of charge.
Tenaha ISD is pleased to welcome Mr. Marlon Byrdsong as the next principal of Tenaha High School. Mr. Byrdsong joins us from Beckville ISD where he served this past school year as the Beckville High School principal. Mr. Byrdsong has an extensive background in the education field with nearly 20 years of experience in many different roles. He has served in administrative roles previously at Liberty Eylau, as well as being very involved with their football program. He has been instrumental in creating many youth leadership programs in various communities where he strives to reach our youth through mentorship endeavors. He is also a Deacon at Twin City Church and is the current Church Secretary. He has also been honored with the Church Leadership award as well. We are extremely excited to welcome Mr. Byrdsong aboard, along with his beautiful children and wife. In addition to his administrative role, Mr. Byrdsong will also assist Coach Ward with our Tiger Football team this coming season! Welcome to TIGERLAND Byrdsong Family!

Don't forget to join us tonight for TIGERFEST!! The Cafe will open at 5pm serving $5/$8 fish or chicken baskets with fries and tea. Our Cheerleaders will have some yummy dessert options for $2 each. The show will begin in the SEC at 6:30pm.
Tomorrow, we will host our High School Triangle (Academics, Athletics and Band) Awards ceremony beginning at 9am in the SEC. The Elementary Awards Ceremony (invitation only) will be held at 2pm in the SEC as well.
Finally Thursday morning, a reminder to our SENIOR CLASS: You will have MANDATORY Graduation Rehearsal at 9:30am in the SEC, if you were selected as Who's Who, photos will be taken prior to rehearsal at 8:45am. The Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2023 will be at 7pm Thursday evening in the TISD SEC.
Friday will be the final day of the school year with an early release for all students at 11:30am!!

We cordially invite you to join us Thursday evening for the commencement exercises for the Tenaha High School Class of 2023. Graduation Ceremonies will begin at 7pm at the Tenaha ISD Special Events Center. We are so proud of this class of graduates and can't wait to celebrate them!

The FUN just keeps on ROLLING here at TISD!! Tomorrow evening, we will host our annual TIGERFEST in the SEC! Our Elementary Classes and Teachers have been working hard to prepare a fun evening as we will "Dance Through the Decades" and enjoy listening to our Junior High Bands as well.
The Tiger Café will be open one final time this year serving two options: for $8 - 3 piece fish or chicken basket or for those with smaller appetites, for $5 you can purchase a 2 piece fish or chicken basket. All baskets will come with fries and tea.
The Café will open at 5pm; and the show will begin at 6:30pm!
